The West Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative (GLSI) offers teachers the opportunity to learn the characteristics and student impacts of place-based education, forge partnerships with community members, expand content knowledge on watersheds, and design a community-based project to implement in the 2018-2019 school year. The Dinner and Dialogues will expand on NOAA assets, water resources, placed-based education and other topics introduced during the WMGLSI Summer Institutes. These sessions are open to all teachers interested in the West Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship. A minimum of two dinner and dialogues are required for participants applying for project funds from the West Michigan Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative.
