Tai Chi is an ancient martial arts practice that has its roots in health, well-being, and spirituality. The benefits of tai chi practice are numerous and life-changing. Energy (chi) movement, not physical movement, is the essence of tai chi, therefore the physical form is secondary to chi development. Proper tai chi practice enlivens every cell in our bodies, resulting in health and lightness in body, mind and, spirit.
Jean O'Connor has been practicing Tai Chi for more than nine years. She continues to train under Master Edward Williamson, owner of Pathways in Millis, Massachusetts. Jean has been teaching Tai Chi for over two years at several senior centers in the area and is excited to share her passion for this practice with the Franklin Lifelong Learning community.
