Summer 2019 Pre-College Application Form

Pre-College Program (July 7 – July 28, 2019)

Every July, Montserrat College of Art hosts a three-week Pre-College Program on our campus in historic Beverly, Massachusetts, just three blocks from the ocean and 30 minutes from Boston. Our summer residential program is designed for high school students 16 years and older, and provides an immersive introduction to the life of an art student.

Our Pre-College Program mirrors the personalized scale of the Montserrat undergraduate experience, prioritizing small class sizes and one-on-one mentorship from our faculty of professional artists. Each student will spend their morning in either a Foundation Drawing class or a Foundation Digital and Interactive Media class, which build upon a skill set needed for a fine or digital art portfolio. Each student also has the freedom to explore elective courses in the afternoon. Those courses include Animation, Creative Writing, Digital Photography, Digital Illustration, Graphic Design, Illustration (Traditional), Painting, Printmaking, and 3-D Design (Sculpture).

Students emerge from our program with three college credits and an enhanced portfolio for art college applications -- not to mention an unforgettable summer experience.
