ALICE Alert, Lockdown, Information, Counter and Evacuation is crisis training created by two Texas law enforcement officers.

This two-hour, face-to-face workshop will give faculty an overview of the Quality Matters design rubric, and present instructional design best practices that faculty can use when designing an online course. Quality Matters is a comprehensive, in-depth rubric, centered on best practices for designing an online or hybrid course; QM does not delve into the delivery of the course, or address issues in online teaching. Faculty will receive a copy of the QM rubric workbook which they can then choose to use as a checklist or guide for designing their online or hybrid courses. For faculty interested in learning more about the Quality Matters rubric and peer evaluation process, Kent State periodically offers a full-day workshop, Applying the Quality Matters Rubric, which is delivered by a Quality Matters-trained facilitator. Note: Sessions must have a minimum of 6 participants to run.
